“In ‘Metamorphosis 2’ I seek refuge in the slower pace of hand-building ceramics and painting. In a reaction to an over digitised world and a need for refreshed ‘human’ connection, I deliberately ‘hand-build’ and ‘hand-paint’ ‘perfectly imperfect’, ‘pixel-like’ cubes. As the visual journey continues, these ‘morph’ into more ‘organic’, protruding, chaotic handles tipped with bright colours bursting with life. A metamorphosis has occurred.”
